Lurgan Legends: Education Programme
We are currently working with the primary 7 classes of Carrick Primary School, Dickson Primary School, Lurgan Model Integrated Primary School and St. Teresa’s Primary School on project which is exploring the achievements of notable people from the town including Mollie McGeown, Jocelyn Bell Burnell, Sir John Greer Dill and George ‘AE’ Russell. The programme will include visits to the Armagh Observatory and Planetarium to find out more about Jocelyn Bell Burnell and Armagh County Museum to view the art works of AE Russell. Together the classes will produce a film showcasing what they have learned through the project.
