Heritage Skills Student Site Visits
We have joined with the DfC:Historic Environment Division (HED) and The Rock Stone Masonry as part of our shared aims to increase knowledge and interest in heritage skills in the next generation.
As part of the partnership, site visits in February and March have been organised to HED’s Conservation Works Depot at Moira and The Rock Stone Masonry’s base in Glenarm for joinery and bricklaying students with People 1st and the Technology and Design classes of St Ronan’s College. During the visits students have the opportunity to find out about the importance of heritage skills and their application to historic buildings through talks and practical hand’s on demonstrations.
