Join the archaeologists of the Northern Archaeological Consultancy and help them excavate the ancient prehistoric and medieval site of Kilmocholmóg , as we look for the remains of an early medieval church which is said to have stood here over 1000 years ago!

The dig will take place between Monday 16 June to Friday 4 July.

Digging Deeper Together: A community archaeology dig at Kilmocholmóg

If you would be interested in taking part in the dig please register for as many sessions as you would be able to attend.

The site is located off the Kilmore Road in Lurgan.

Please Note: Volunteers under 16 will have to be accompanied by an adult.

This archaeological investigation is funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund and organised by the Craigavon Historical Society as part of their ‘Pagans, Saints and Birdmen: Rediscovering Our Sacred Landscapes’ project.
