Sketch Your Town: a beginner’s drawing course

Date: Commencing Wednesday 10 July, 3pm to 5pm for 4 weeks

Would you like to be able to draw buildings and streets for pleasure or for work?

Will then join us with local artist Dwyer McKerr for this 4 week drawing course and learn all the basic tricks and techniques required to sketch buildings and streets. Along the way you will find out about drawing perspective, colouring techniques and simplifying architectural details.

The course will commence on Wednesday 10 July, 3pm to 5pm, and will last 4 weeks, concluding on Wednesday 31 July.

Please note you must be able to attend all 4 classes.

The course will take place in the AEON Community Arts building located at 46-47 Church Place, Lurgan (beside the post office).

Dwyer McKerr Profile:

Dwyer is an artist and arts facilitator from Lurgan, Co Armagh. He spent his early working life drawing ad sand-etching in a stained glass studio. After graduating with a fine and applied art degree in 2007 he joined the North Armagh Artists Collective and also began to teach his first art classes. He now teaches three regular classes and facilitates many other projects for community and social groups. He also exhibits as a solo artist, and with collaborative partners the Shore Collective and AEON Community Arts.
